The angels have led you to your place through heaven’s gates,
But locked deep inside my soul, the memory of you remains.
For when the world darkens and my eyes are filled with tears,
I see you in my dreams and feel you running through my veins.
Lingering echoes of your laughter whisper to me in the night
And the sweet, melodic voice of your spirit continues to play.
I dance to the song of your life as it resounds in my head,
Whilst you rest in peace and eternally within me you stay.
Not a day goes by when you don’t consume my thoughts,
For yesterday has gone and there’ll be no tomorrow with you.
